Goodbounce Pickleball Yard overlooking Ohio River hosting Thunder Over Louisville party

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A pickleball yard and restaurant will host a Thunder Over Louisville viewing party in April.

Goodbounce Pickleball Yard will host a Thunder Viewing Party from 2 to 11 p.m. on April 20. The pickleball yard and restaurant is located at 1515 River Shore Drive near the Ohio River and Waterfront Park.

According to a news release, there will be music and air show commentary from 2 to 5 p.m. and live entertainment with THUMPER and the Plaid Rabbits. THUMPER and the Plaid Rabbits will start performing at 7 p.m. and play until the fireworks start, and then play another set after the fireworks until 11 p.m.

Food and drinks will be available. The game yard has cornhole, fire pits, children's activities and more.

Thunder is considered the kickoff to Kentucky Derby Festival events. It's touted as one of the top fireworks displays and air shows, entertaining more than 1.5 million people each year.
