In this episode of Crossroads, host Dalton Godbey visits Northern Kentucky, just across the river from Cincinnati, to explore a region where quirky traditions, epic experiences, and big appetites collide.
The journey kicks off in Florence, where Dalton heads to the ballpark to try out for the Florence Y’alls, a professional baseball team. After warming up with the team and throwing out the first pitch, he sticks around to take in the game and soak up the hometown energy (and eat a few dogs).
Next, Dalton visits the world-famous Ark Encounter in nearby Williamstown, where he explores the massive life-size replica of Noah’s Ark and learns more about why this towering structure was built in the Bluegrass State.
To end the day, Dalton heads to Covington to face down a culinary monster: the Bardzilla Challenge at Bard’s Burgers & Chili — a towering 11-patty burger stacked with 22 slices of cheese, served on two buns and accompanied by two pounds of fries. Will he finish it? You’ll have to watch to find out.
