SMITHFIELD, Ky. (WDRB) — A small Kentucky town goes back to the 80s during the Smithfield Day Festival.

WDRB's Keith Kaiser gets a look at the 3rd annual celebration. This year, Smithfield is going totally "radical" with a full 80s theme.

They want to go bigger and better with the "Live Local, Love Local" mantra. Break out the neon and big hair and enjoy the "Totally 80s Parade & Contests".

The whole town gets involved including the local churches, Wilder's Corner and community favorites like "Our Best Restaurant & Catering."

Keep the family entertained with the Kids Zone, petting zoo, food trucks, and local vendors.

See how the heart of Henry County throws a "really excellent" party.
