LA GRANGE, Ky (WDRB) -- It's a tradition from Mexico and Latin America that is thousands of years old.

Keith Kaiser learns about the Day of the Dead Celebration in Oldham County.

The Oldham County History Center celebrates Day of the Dead this year on Saturday, Nov. 1 with traditional music and dance, face painting, a parade, vendors, and authentic food offerings.

Beautiful altars will be built by different families and individuals that honor memories of those deceased in their lives will be on display. 

A Day of the Dead Celebration is a traditional cultural event that honors deceased loved ones by celebrating their life lives and contributions.
