LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Dogs are going to be centerstage at the upcoming annual GRRAND Affair.
The Golden Retriever Rescue and Adoption of Needy Dogs is getting ready for its biggest fundraiser Nov. 15 at the Mellwood Arts Center.
GRRAND is dedicated to helping find homes for displaced dogs. All of their adoptables have unique stories but they are smart, loving and make great family pets.
The fundraiser will include a silent auction, live music, a bourbon and wine pull, cash raffles and an exclusive dinner by Bristol.
Nina Scott, the president of GRRAND, visited WDRB Mornings on Thursday to talk about the upcoming event and how it benefits the non-profit.
"It really covers direct costs to the dogs, such as medical, training, boarding, food, you name it," Scott said. "We are still an all-volunteer group, so we don't have any employees or paid staff. Everything that comes to GRRAND goes directly to the dogs."
Tickets start at $100 and are available for purchase on their website.
