FRANKFORT, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kids in Frankfort are spending the summer painting a mural on a flood wall near Ward Oates Amphitheater. It's part of a camp put on by Full Circle Studio and Gallery.
The 400 foot mural, along the banks of the Kentucky River, is the second public art mural created by artists Travis Kelley and Jennifer Zingg. The 19-panel painting depicts plants and animals.
Students enrolled in the studio's summer camps contribute to the mural during week-long sessions.
While all the camp sessions are full, the community is invited to help paint on Sunday, July 19 from 2 to 5 p.m. The afternoon will feature music, food, fun and the opportunity to put a lasting mark on the mural.
