Knockerball! It's one of Louisville's newest games

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - A Knockerball is a wearable, protective, safe, PVC ball of air with handles and shoulder straps. It allows competitors to bump and collide without getting hurt.

Knockerballs are typically used to play "bubble soccer." It's a version of soccer that focuses on scoring goals and knocking down opponents. Competitors can also play games like "Last Man Standing," "King of the Ring," and "Human Jousting."

Matt Lanham and John Cecil co-founded Knockerball Louisville. They rent the balls to groups, businesses, schools and other organizations. Customers can play at several indoor facilities in town or the owners will deliver Knockerballs to private events. Knockerball Louisville's rentals start at $250 dollars and packages can be customized for each client.

Lanham said, "There really are no age limits per say, but you may be limited by size. The balls come in different sizes for children and adults. We recommend players be 4'6" or taller to take advantage of the fun."
