LOUISVILLE, Ky (WDRB) -- It's a tradition from Mexico and Latin America that is thousands of years old.
WDRB's Keith Kaiser learns about the Day of the Dead Celebration at Noche Mexican BBQ.
DÃa de los Muertos represents a time where families honor and remember passed loved ones by welcoming back the souls for a celebration.
This is Noche Mexican BBQ’s fourth year celebrating in Louisville, coinciding with its fourth anniversary.
The holiday is traditionally celebrated over two days, but Noche Mexican BBQ will be hosting a week-long celebration starting Monday, Oct. 30, through Friday, Nov. 3.
All week, guests can expect drink specials with $10 top-shelf margaritas and palomas.
Enjoy a Halloween costume contest and Mariachi de Kentucky earlier this week.
On Thursday, Nov. 2, Acorde Latin Trio will be performing starting at 7 p.m.
On Friday, Nov. 3, Louisville Salsa Underground will be teaching salsa dancing beginning at 10 p.m.
From Wednesday, Nov. 1 through Friday, Nov. 3, Steve-o Shephard will be offering free face painting starting at 7 p.m.
More activities and specials will be planned throughout the week.
