LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Paristown celebrates the arts with a special Derby season event.
WDRB's Keith Kaiser joined some people excited about sharing their art.
The 5th annual Spring into Derby Festival of the Arts happens Apr. 11 & 12 throughout the Paristown Cultural Arts and Entertainment District.
Spring into Derby is free, open to the public and will feature more than 100 local and regional art vendors.
The event kicks off on Friday evening with live bluegrass music in Christy’s Garden from Dark Moon Hollow from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Then, the Spring into Derby Art Market is open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Fund for the Arts will also be hosting “Celebration of the Arts” in Christy’s Garden with music, dancing, and theatrical arts onstage, with craft and engagement activities offstage from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Specialty cocktails will be available and The Café will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the weekend.
Jeff’s Donuts inside The Village Market Food Hall will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., with the other food hall restaurants open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. throughout the weekend.
