LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Christmas is the favorite time of year for people who love to bake. But it's a tough time to find new ideas and traditions to impress your family. The creative minds at Adrienne & Company Bakery & Cafe are demonstrating their rainbow cookies and a festive yule log that can be your holiday centerpiece.
Adrienne Holland says the "rainbow cookies" are an Italian traditional cookie called a Neapolitan. They are made in layers of red, green and white to represent the Italian flag. Between the layers are different flavors of jam. The cookie is topped with chocolate.
The yule log is a traditional cake made to look like a log. It is usually a cake that is rolled with a cream filling and plenty of chocolate decorations.
