LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Break out your denim and your diamonds for a special benefit.

WDRB's Keith Kaiser joins some people helping with the fight against Parkinson's Disease.

The 16th annual Denim & Diamonds on Oct. 6 is an event featuring signature appetizers and a main course by a team of 10 chefs from local restaurants.

It also has specialty cocktails, live music from Tony and the Tan Lines, and live and silent auctions.

And of course, you are encouraged to bling out your denim.

Funds raised through this event hosted by the Norton Healthcare Foundation helps the Parkinson Support Center of Kentuckiana, a Part of Norton Neuroscience Institute Resource Center.

The center provides support groups, exercise programs, equipment, new technologies, clinical research and health education for patients, families, medical staff and the community.
