LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Western Middle School for the Arts takes the audience to a pineapple under the sea.
WDRB's Keith Kaiser joined the cast and crew before opening night of The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition.
Western Middle School for the Arts’ fall musical production of the Broadway hit opens on Nov. 9.
SpongeBob and his friends must come together to save their home and undersea world of Bikini Bottom from an impending volcano eruption.
Meet some of your favorite characters like Gary, Spongebob's pet sea snail, Patrick, Squidward, Sandy Cheeks, Mr. Krabs and more.
The musical features about 70 Western Middle students as cast and technical crew during four public performances.
The performances will happen in the recently renovated, 460-seat auditorium on the school’s campus at 2201 West Main Street in the Portland neighborhood.
Students have worked hard to bring all the technical elements together including lighting, audio, costumes and more.
