LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It's been nearly six months since tornadoes ripped through western Kentucky, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is remembering the deaths of more than 75 people in Kentucky with a 1,270-word feature story that covers some successes and challenges communities face during recovery.

According to a news release, FEMA worked with Kentucky and federal partners for coverage of the assistance that was provided to individuals and families impacted by the disaster.
Twenty-three people died in Mayfield.
FEMA said millions of dollars have reached individuals and some communities as debris piles are down and residents are forming long-term recovery committees. Â
