The National Weather Service in Louisville conducted a damage survey on a storm that caused damage in Hardin and LaRue counties around 10 PM EDT on Tuesday, April 28th. The damage survey team determined that a small, weak tornado touched down for a brief time. Peak winds were estimated to be EF-0 strength at 80 mph. The weak tornado was only 50 yards wide and was on the ground for 2.24 miles. The NWS stated it likely skipped along the ground and it went down its path.
A tornado touched down in Hart County, KY, on April 27th. It traveled one mile, was 250 yards wide, and had peak winds of EF-0 strength at 80 mph.
A tornado touched down in Jackson County, IN, on April 27th. It traveled 3.7 miles, was 100 yards wide, and had EF-1 winds of 105 mph.
Straight-line winds caused damage in both Oldham and Green counties in KY: 90 mph winds in Oldham, 80 mph winds in Green.Â
