LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The teen who made headlines in 2013 after he was acquitted of murdering his stepbrother will spend the next year in prison on other charges.

On Thursday Josh Young pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property. Young was arrested in April after police say they stopped in on I-64 him a stolen car. He told police the car belonged to his ex-girlfriend, and that he had picked it up earlier in the day.

But a passenger told police Young had been driving the car for several days.

Young was tried for the beating death of his stepbrother, Trey Zwicker, but was found not guilty. His father, Joshua Gouker, was convicted of murdering Zwicker and sentenced to life in prison.

Since he was acquitted on the murder charge, Young has had several run-ins with the law and faced charges related to incidents of assaultpossession of synthetic cannabisshoplifting and public intoxication.
