Anti-eviction protests LMPD starting to move furniture

Louisville Metro Police officers move furniture out of the intersection of Sixth and Jefferson streets in downtown Louisville on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2020. Protesters left the furniture in the street to call for an end to evictions during the coronavirus pandemic.Â

Demonstrators left mattresses, couches, televisions, dressers, a washing machine and more in the middle of the downtown Louisville streets, which border the Hall of Justice, Metro Hall and Jefferson Square Park.
