Gov. Andy Beshear was at the opening on Monday and said vaccinations are key to reopening.
If you are unable to make an appointment, health officials say walk-ups will still be allowed to receive a shot.
The site is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but because of the Kentucky Derby, the vaccination site is only open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
