LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The 14th Annual Germantown Schnitzelburg Blues Festival is being held on Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the corner of Hickory Street and Burnett Avenue. 

The festival was co-founded by Gary Sampson and the late bluesman, Lamont Gillispie and is hosted by the Kentuckiana Blues Society and Check’s Café.

This year’s festival will begin Friday night at 7:00 p.m. with a performance by The Saints followed by three additional acts. Saturday’s entertainment begins at 4:00 p.m. with seven acts. The festival will be held at the corner of Hickory Street and Burnett Avenue, and music will also be featured inside Check’s Café, located at 1101 E. Burnett Avenue.

Admission to the festival is free and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Dare to Care. Neighbors are encouraged to bring a lawn chair to better enjoy the show.
