LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The weekend is upon us, and there are plenty of things to do and see across Kentuckiana.

Here are a selection of events, markets, concerts and more happening the weekend of Friday, July 10 to Sunday, July 12.

With rain in the forecast this weekend, it's important to note that some of these events may change or be canceled.

Buy Local Fair

Louisville's South Points Buy Local Fair will be set up at Iroquois Amphitheater from noon to 4 p.m. this Sunday, July 12.

The free event is hosted by the Louisville Independent Business Alliance. There will be booths from local shops and organizations, a "hidden gem hunt," a cooling station, music, kids activities, food, drinks and a silent auction.

Free parking is available in the amphitheater parking lot. To learn more or look at a list of this year's vendors, click here.

Harrison County Popcorn Festival

Celebrate one of Harrison County’s biggest agricultural products with a parade, children’s activities, games, a beer garden, music and more at this weekend's Popcorn Festival.

Originally established in 1986, the Popcorn Festival celebrates Harrison County's significant contribution to the popcorn industry.

Ten percent of the nation’s popcorn is produced in Harrison County, Indiana, across more than 20 farming operations.

After a hiatus in the early 2000s, the festival returned to Corydon in 2022 thanks to the efforts of local groups and volunteers.

Enjoy food, entertainment, fireworks and more. The festivities start Friday, July 10, from 1-10 p.m. and continue Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Vibe In The Park

A local arts and community event founded by Darnell Levine is marking a milestone this summer as it celebrates five years of music, poetry and creative expression.

Vibe in the Park returns Saturday, July 11, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Alberta O. Jones Park, bringing together independent musicians, spoken word artists, visual creators and local vendors.

Founded by Louisville musician and community advocate Darnell Levine, the free event will feature live performances by Darnell Levine & Friends, along with poetry, art, food and family-friendly activities aimed at highlighting Louisville's creative community.

Organizers say the gathering has grown over the past five years into a platform for local talent while providing a space focused on culture, positivity and connection.

This year's celebration will also include a school supplies drive to support local students. Donations collected will be distributed during the event. Items can also be dropped off in advance at Gye Nyame Books and More, located inside the Nia Center at 2900 W. Main St.

Admission is free and open to the public. Online registration is available.

Jtown Big Pour

Beat the heat at the annual Jtown Big Pour this weekend.

It would have been 11th year of the beloved Jtown Beer Fest. Now, it has a new name and a new vision.

The event has evolved beyond beer into a full-scale beverage experience featuring wine, spirits, mocktails, and more.

The festival returns Saturday, July 11 from 4-8 p.m. at the Gaslight Pavilion, in the heart of Jeffersontown.  It features more than 80 craft breweries, wines, seltzers, food trucks and live music.

Look forward to summer seasonal craft beers from around the country, the "BEYOND BEER BAR" Seltzer Bar, and wine from Oliver Winery.

General admission tickets cost $45 plus tax and online fees. Designated driver tickets cost $10 plus tax and online fees.

Dirt Track Rumble

It's going to be a night of excitement, racing fun, and great food. Close to 40 cars and drivers will be up for the challenge at the Dirt Track Rumble this Saturday, July 11, at 7:30 p.m.

"Race What You Brung," you can put almost any car on the track to go lap for lap with other drivers looking for the same prize. It must be a 2-wheel drive vehicle with very little modifications to make it around the 1/4 mile track.

You may get bumped and pushed and slammed on your way to the finish line. Can your car stay running and go the distance during the 5-minute races?

This is a family-friendly event with a Kids Zone to entertain the younger ones.

The Dirt Track Rumble is hosted by the North Bullitt Lions Club. The nonprofit group is made up of volunteers who love giving back to the community and have fun along the way.

It's being held at the Bullitt County Fairgrounds. Admission is $10 per person, and $5 for children ages 6-12.
