LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The weekend is upon us, and there are plenty of things to do and see across Kentuckiana.
Here are a selection of events, markets, concerts and more happening Friday, April 25 to Sunday, April 27, 2025.
Krogerās Fest-a-Ville
Kentucky Derby Festival's annual event, Fest-a-Ville, is officially underway until May 2.
The popular nine-day event returns to Waterfront Park to kickoff the 2025 Kentucky Derby season.
Some highlights of Fest-a-Ville include the two car shows taking place the first weekend. On April 26, Cars & Coffee will be on the Great Lawn from 4-8 p.m. and the Custom Car Showcase will be on the Great Lawn April 27 from 12-5 p.m.
Motorcycle Night will be Thursday, May 1, beginning at 5 p.m. and the Louisville Turners Circus will be the same night beginning at 6 p.m.
Fest-a-Ville and the Chow Wagon opened Thursday at 11 a.m. Entry is free with a Kentucky Derby Festival Pegasus Pin.
The Chow Wagon is open the entire nine days of the Fest-a-Ville. You can grab a bite to eat while watching live music.
Pegasus Play-Ville will also be open with several kid-friendly activities. Rides are open from noon to close on weekends and 4 p.m. until close on weekdays.Ā

Pegasus Parade
The annual Pegasus Parade will return to the streets of downtown Louisville this Sunday, April 27.
The parade starts at 3 p.m. and heads west on Broadway from Campbell to 9th Street. It covers 17 blocks and lasts about two hours, showcasing marching bands, equestrian units, inflatable characters and colorful floats.
The theme of the 2025 edition of the parade is "Happy Derby: Pink Out Party," celebrating spring and one of the Kentucky Derby Festival's favorite colors.
Participants and spectators are encouraged to go to the parade decked out in pink to help paint Broadway in one of the signature KDF colors.
Organizers encourage attendees to arrive early to park and find a spot to watch the parade. Bleacher seating is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets for VIP seating have sold out.

Opening night at Churchill DownsĀ
Kick off Derby week during opening night at Churchill Downs this Saturday.
Gates open at 4 p.m. with the first race at 5 p.m.
The "Great Gatsby-inspired evening" invites attendees to dress in their finest 1920s attire.
General admission starts at $27.
The post-position draws for the Oaks and the Derby will also take place.

My Morning Jacket at the Palace
On the heels of being honored with a "long overdue" Hometown Heroes banner, Louisville-grown band My Morning Jacket kicks off a series of hometown shows starts this weekend.
Their 5-night residency at the Louisville Palace begins Friday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m. The first three performances areĀ listed as "sold out,"Ā however Live Nation showed some tickets still available for those shows as of Thursday evening.

Various openers are joining the band for the performances. April 29 includes guests 10th Street Dre and Maggie Halfman. The April 30 show will welcome Bendigo Fletcher as the guest.
MMJ is on tour for theirĀ 10th studio album, "is,"Ā which was released March 21.
The Cherokee Triangle Art Fair
This weekend marks the 53rd anniversary of the Cherokee Triangle Art Fair, a "rite of spring in one of Louisville's most beautiful and historic neighborhoods."
Explore more than 200 artists' booths for free and enjoy food, drinks and entertainment.Ā
The annual art fair runs Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27 on Cherokee Parkway between Willow Avenue and Cherokee Road.
It serves as the major fundraiser for the city's Cherokee Triangle Association, with proceeds going back into the community and the neighborhood.Ā
The two-day event starts with the annual children's parade Saturday at 10 a.m., led by a bagpipe player around Cherokee Parkway.Ā
No pets, weapons, outside alcohol or soliciting will be allowed. Alcoholic beverages will be served to those who are 21 and older with an ID.
