LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Grammy-nominated band My Morning Jacket will go back to its roots this spring.
The three-time Grammy Award-nominated band is returning home to Louisville for a series of hometown concerts as part of a larger tour for their new album 'is,' which will be released March 21.
The shows will be held at the Louisville Palace Theatre on April 25, 26, 27, 29 and 30. Each show will have different special guests, including Lacey Guthrie, Future Killer, The Jesse Lees, 10th Street Dre and Maggie Halfman, and Bendigo Fletcher.
Earlier this week, the band performed "Time Waited," off their new album, on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Formed in Louisville in the late 90s, My Morning Jacket consists of Jim James, Tom Blankenship, Patrick Hallahan, Bo Koster and Carl Broemel. Since then, MMJ has earned three Grammy nominations for Best Alternative Music Album for 2015's "The Waterfall", 2011's "Circuital" and 2008's "Evil Urges."
A ticket request period is now underway to members of My Morning Jacket’s One Big Family “Family Pass” program. It will go until Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. Standard and VIP ticket requests will then be processed for "Family Pass" holders on Feb. 10 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Presales will then be available to all remaining members of one Big Family starting Feb. 11 at 10 a.m.
