AAA hosting free vehicle battery checks for Louisville residents on Oct. 23

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Winter weather is right around the corner, and that means your vehicle's battery could fail when temperatures fall.

October is AAA Car Care Month. That's why AAA East Central in Louisville is offering free battery and electrical system checks for Louisville-area residents, according to a news release. Technicians at the Battery Wellness Clinic will determine your battery is strong enough to endure the cold winter months.

Batteries will be available for purchase on-site, if needed. AAA said its number one service call during the winter is for dead batteries.

The free Battery Wellness Clinic will be held Oct. 23 at the AAA branch office on Hurstbourne Lane (9421 Viking Center Drive) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
