LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The City of Jeffersontown needs help putting together a time capsule for America's 250th anniversary.
The city is inviting people to bring items to City Hall for the time capsule by June 12. All items will be logged before being sealed. Suggested items include letters, pictures and newspaper articles, and should be small in size.
The capsule will be opened in 2076 for America's 300th anniversary.
The capsule will be sealed during the Jeffersontown Salute to America's 250th Anniversary event on Saturday, June 20 starting at 3 p.m.
A special ceremony will be held later this year to bury the time capsule.
