LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — As the nation marks its 250th birthday, a longtime Louisville Independence Day tradition returns to Crescent Hill.
The Crescent Hill 4th of July Festival will return Saturday, July 4, 2026, running from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the grounds of the historic Peterson Dumesnil House. The free, all-day event has become a summer staple for generations of families across the city.
Throughout the day, attendees can expect an art fair showcasing local creators, food trucks, craft beer, and continuous live music.
Family-friendly attractions include a children’s inflatable zone, a magician, pet contest, cake baking competition, raffle, and silent auction supporting the historic site.
Musical performances will feature a mix of styles, including Dixieland jazz from Gary Falk and the Falklanders, sounds from the Allen Lane Band, and rock sets by Stonewheel.
The celebration will include a community singalong of the National Anthem, followed by fireworks at 10 p.m.
"For 41 years, volunteers and neighbors have worked together to make this festival a welcoming space for the entire community," said Erin Klarer, president of the Crescent Hill Community Council.
"This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate both our country’s history and a Louisville tradition that continues to bring people together."
