LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --Â Girls in Kentucky will get a chance to see what a career in the skies looks like.
Girls in Aviation Day will be happening at Bowman Field's Old Terminal Building on Saturday from Noon p.m. to 4 p.m.
Event planner Crystal Korff visited WDRB Mornings on Wednesday and said the event is made to target young woman that are interested in aviation and what it has to offer.
"We want to get that spark ignited for aviation and let girls know all the different kinds of careers that are in aviation," Korff said.
Participants will be able to sit in static planes, fly drones, use a flight simulator, and expand their knowledge about aviation.
