LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The countdown to Halloween is underway, and some kids were able to celebrate early in Jeffersonville on Saturday.

Fright Fair returned to the southern Indiana city at the NoCo Arts and Cultural District on Michigan Avenue.

The area was transformed into some spooky excitement for much of the day where local artists hand painted the backdrops — complete with props, lights, and actors.

There were also live art demos, face painting, tarot readings, and costumes.

"This is a family friendly event, there's an area for the kids and even the band - the music they are playing is family appropriate and friendly and there's a lot of candy that's being handed out, kids can go trick or treating at the booths," Michael Toeniskotter, attending Fright Fair, said.

Families could also check out the food trucks, vendors, live music, and a witch-themed workshop.
