LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Louisville band will be honored during the LouCity home opener at Lynn Family Stadium this Saturday.
Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg will present My Morning Jacket with ceremonial keys to the city at halftime during the game.Â
“Over the band’s career, My Morning Jacket has created legendary music that’s garnered multiple Grammy award nominations and produced chart-topping hits,” said Mayor Greenberg in a release. “Through it all, they’ve taken the city of Louisville along for the ride and around the world with them. They’ve never forgotten the city that brought the band together, and we’re grateful for the investments they’ve made in our community."
Gates open at 2:30 p.m., and the first 2,000 fans will receive a commemorative 2025 home opener pennant.
My Morning Jacket will be available for meet and greets for ticket holders from 3-3:45 p.m. at Gate 7. Fans can also score exclusive merchandise from the recently-announced partnership between the band and LouCity FC and Racing Louisville FC.Â
