LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville faith leaders are asking the community to pray for Muhammad Ali's brother, 82-year-old Rahaman Ali.

Several community and faith leaders gathered Monday morning at King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church to ask everyone in the community to keep Rahaman Ali in their prayers.

Rev. Charles Elliott Jr. spoke Monday from the church where Rahaman Ali and other members of Muhammad Ali's family are members.

"Rahaman is very sick, but we do know that God is able to deliver him, and we are praying for that," Elliott said. "We're going to ask everybody here in the city — wherever you may be, whatever position you're holding — we all are brothers and sisters in Christ."

Elliott then led a prayer asking for God's healing power as Rahaman Ali continues to recover in the hospital.

Although we don't have many details about his illness, we're told doctors and staff at Norton Audubon Hospital are treating Rahaman Ali and making him comfortable right now.

Elliott also asked the community to pray for comfort for the parents of children who have committed murder and other crimes in the city.
