LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Muhammad Ali Center in downtown Louisville wants the world to know that the most famous heavyweight boxing champion ever deserves a Congressional medal for his humanitarian work outside the ring.
The museum has taken to social media, asking for the public's help. The post asks people to contact their congressional representatives to ask them to sponsor House Resolution 709 so Ali can be recognized for his dedication to human rights.
The bill was introduced in the Kentucky House in 2023. The post says Ali should be recognized for his efforts to fight segregation and his impact on the world today.
