LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — There's a new derby coming to southern Indiana, but not the horse kind.
A new roller derby team is now forming in southern Indiana thanks to Southern Indiana Roller Derby (SIRD), the region's newest roller derby league.
SIRD will hold a meet and greet event from 2-5 p.m. Jan. 26 at Dog Haus, 415 Bank St. in New Albany.
People will get a chance to meet the team and find out how to get involved in the sport. No experience is necessary, and training camps are offered.
The team is also seeking sponsors for the 2025 season.
