LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A small fire put a pause on events at a Louisville community center.

Louisville Metro Parks and Rec posted Friday on Facebook the fire at the Newburg Community Center occurred in a partner's section of the building. No one was hurt, and the building is structurally sound, the post said.

However, the damage is being assess and cleanup needs to be done before the community center can reopen, so all programming is cancelled for now and the center is closed.

Those who participate in Kid's Cafe can visit the South Louisville Community Center at 2911 Taylor Blvd or contact Dare to Care.
