LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Norton Healthcare is promoting health awareness with mobile screening centers across the Louisville area.
The 40-foot long mobile unit travels to neighborhoods and provides screening for mammograms for women ages 40 and older.
Mammograms are a critical tool in the early detection and treatment of breast cancer. Early detection significantly increases your survival rate and reduces the need for aggressive treatment.
The mobile unit goes all over the city and is out most days of the week to try and make it as easily accessible and hassle-free for women as possible.
