LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — It was all beer and brats this weekend in Louisville.
The German American Club held Oktoberfest, its long-standing celebration of German culture on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 5-6 at the club's headquarters on Lincoln Avenue.
Hundreds of people came out for the full German dinner, a King and Queen contest and all the music, beer and brats you could ever want.Â
"It's always a wonderful event, it is a wonderful club," Sara Callaway, festival attendee, said. "I am excited about the music tonight, and the food and my kids are here, and it's a great family, fun event."
A portion of the proceeds benefited Highview Arts Center.Â
