LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — As temperatures drop and winter approaches, it's time to think about winterizing your homes for the cooler months ahead.
Louisville's Project Warm held its annual weatherization Blitz on Saturday, helping more than 100 households stay warm this winter.
More than 200 volunteers installed simple energy-saving materials, such as plastic window insulation and door sweeps, all to help reduce heating costs and increase comfort for families in need.
"I will tell you that there is a great need, and so we have plenty of inquires it's a great need in town, and we are trying to meet that need as much as we can, but we have plenty of folks in our pipeline," Grant Johnson, Project Warm Director, said.
The organization will hold another event next weekend, Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
