LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- WDRB partnered up with Scooter's Coffee in March to give away solar eclipse glasses with the purchase of a specialty drink. A part of the proceeds went to the Kentucky Science Center.
On Apr. 26, Scooter's Coffee presented the check to the Kentucky Science Center on WDRB Mornings.
The coffee chain raised $10,215 all from eclipse glasses.
"We really want to promote science literacy throughout the state," Kentucky Science Center's Brittney Gorter said on WDRB Mornings. "Funding and support from partners like this helps."
Scooter's gave away the glasses at local locations ahead of the big event.
