LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — More than a thousand animal lovers and their companions gathered Sunday at Waterfront Park for one of the Kentucky Humane Society's biggest fundraisers, the Waggin' Tail Festival.

There were plenty of happy pups and even the occasional turtle collecting tips with a jar on its shell enjoying music, food and a great weather.

"This is one of my favorite events," said Alisa Gray, Kentucky Humane Society. "It's just so fun. Everybody comes, all ages, so many dogs, and so many dogs. And it's so fun to see dogs that have been adopted from us, and our staff recognizes them and sees how happy they are and loved."

Since the festival started, it's raised more than $2 million for the Kentucky Humane Society.
