LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It's one of the first signs of the Derby season and it's a sure sign of spring.
Sunday was the annual Kentucky Derby Museum Hat Show.
Five featured milliners displayed their best hats and fascinators to showcase on the runway.
Because it is such a banner year, organizers expect to see some throwbacks to the early days of Derby.
Each year the hats change and so do the trends - giving us a good preview of what we can expect to see for Derby 150.
"You might see some really interesting shapes, color combinations, just an explosion of color and I think there is also going to be a good balance of really demur and maybe some European influence as well into some of these pieces," Katrina Helmer, director of communications at the Kentucky Derby Museum, said.
It wasn't just about the hats, though. Dresses were also featured along with jewelry from Davis Jewelers and David Yurman.
