Louisville police release road closures for KDF's mini-marathon race Saturday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police released road closures for the GE Appliances Mini-Marathon and Marathon held by the Kentucky Derby Festival.

The annual spring race starts on Main Street near Louisville Slugger Field and ends at Lynn Family Stadium on Saturday, April 27. It's the first time since 2019 that the entire race will be ran in Kentucky. Runners will pass by the Olmstead Park system, Old Louisville and Churchill Downs.

Half-marathoners will then begin their northern return toward downtown Louisville to finish at Lynn Family Stadium. Marthoners will continue south onto Southern Parkway and race through Iroquois Park before returning downtown. More information is available at DerbyFestivalMarathon.com.
