“The magnitude and significance of this project cannot be overstated,” Gov. Andy Beshear said during Monday’s ceremony.
Ford and SK will receive $250 million upfront from Kentucky taxpayers for the companies' massive battery park in Hardin County. The money is "well spent," Gov. Andy Beshear says.
“We need enough capacity for all of our commercial customers on various vehicle lines, and it’s pretty much a whole battery plant,” Ford Pro CEO Ted Cannis told WDRB News in a recent interview.
