Kentucky hospitals aren’t exempt from the nationwide nursing shortage, and there’s a battle within the industry to retain nurses they already have.

The survey of 850 nurses was conducted by the Kentucky Nurses Association.

A hearing about the shortage of nurses in Kentucky became contentious Wednesday when a Republican senator criticized Gov. Andy Beshear for not moving more quickly to address the problem.
