A metal memorial flag was taken off a rock, and property was also damaged at the memorial site just off the Bluegrass Parkway.Â
The memorial for Officer Jason Ellis sits at Exit 34 off the Bluegrass Parkway, but what's there now isn't recognizable as a memorial.
Ellis was on his way home from a shift on May 25, 2013, when he was ambushed, shot and killed.
