All 16 KCTCS schools, including Jefferson Community and Technical College (JCTC) in Louisville, will get a portion of the funds.
Although gaps in students' economic status is a common issue in education, experts said the pandemic has made those gaps more apparent.
The scholarship will cover tuition for up to 30 credit hours and will be applicable to the 2020-2021 school year.
