Louisville police released body camera video Thursday showing an officer citing a woman for street camping as she sat under an interstate overpass in labor.
Video of a Louisville Metro Police lieutenant giving a citation to a homeless woman in labor has advocacy groups calling on the city's mayor to take action.
“This court should dismiss the case against (the woman) and rule that citing an unhoused person simply because they needed to sit down during early labor is cruel and unusual punishment under the Eighth Amendment.”
