“What we are asking is to be able to announce various payment plan options and for our customers to be able to choose the plan that best works for them," Louisville Gas & Electric spokesman Natasha Collins said.
Embedded within the 11% increase that LG&E proposes is a more aggressive hike in the fixed "basic service charge" that electric and gas customers pay regardless of their usage.
LG&E customers have a chance to learn more about the proposed 11% rate hike and to comment on it during a virtual public meeting on Tuesday, April 20.
