LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was killed Monday night in a crash involving a motorcycle and semi on the Western Kentucky Parkway.
The Hardin County Sheriff's Department said in a social media post deputies were called about 9:15 p.m. to the 121-mile marker in the westbound lanes of the parkway about a serious accident.
A preliminary investigation found the driver of a 2024 Indian Pursuit motorcycle was eastbound on the parkway when he lost control on the rain-slick road. He crossed the media and went into the westbound lanes and hit a tractor trailer head-on.
The sheriff's department said John Barnes, 57, of Upton, Kentucky, died at the scene. The driver of the semi wasn't injured.
