LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two people were injured after a Pleasure Ridge Park ambulance crashed into a car on the Interstate 265 late Wednesday morning.
Aaron Ellis, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police, said officers responded to a crash in the southbound lanes of the Gene Snyder Freeway near the New Cut Road exit around 11:30 a.m.
Police said EMS was in the fast lane and, for an unknown reason, drifted into the right lane and crashed into the car next to it.
The crash caused the car to leave the roadway and roll over several times from the shoulder. According to police, the drivers of the car and the ambulance were taken to local hospitals with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening.
LMPD's Third Division is investigating.
