LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 23-year-old woman died after being hit by a car Monday in Nelson County, Kentucky State Police said.

Police responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 4000 block of Louisville Road near Bardstown at 10:45 p.m.

According to police, a 2014 KIA Forte driven by a 19-year-old who was traveling northbound on Louisville Road when she didn't see a pedestrian walking in the northbound lane. Matt Berry, of Bardstown, was hit by the car.

He died at the scene.

KSP said the crash is under investigation.
