LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 23-year-old New Albany man was killed Tuesday evening after driving off the road in Clarksville and crashing into a ditch.

Indiana State Police said in a news release that the crash occurred around 8:22 p.m. on Brown Station Way near Lewis and Clark Parkway.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Daniel Lee Wade Burns was driving westbound on Brown Station Way in the right lane.

He drifted across the fog line on the north side of the road, hit a raised curb and continued west along the curb.

Burns then veered off the roadway and crashed head-on with a concrete culvert in a ditch. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
