LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man who was killed in a crash in Louisville's Highview neighborhood early Wednesday has been identified.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office, Augustin Koudatsi, 25, died in the crash.Â
Louisville Metro Police were called around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday to the 6700 block of Shepherdsville Road, just south of GE Appliance Park, according to a department spokesperson.
Officers said a car was traveling southbound on Shepherdsville Road when the driver lost control, crossed the northbound lanes and hit several trees.
The driver and passenger were taken to UofL Hospital, where the Koudatsi died of his injuries. The passenger was in critical condition, but their current status is unknown.
Police said neither of them were wearing seatbelts.Â
