LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky State Police is investigating after an officer-involved shooting in Bardstown, Kentucky on Saturday evening.
The Bardstown Police Department said in a statement that officers responded to the area of 245 and Chambers Boulevard on a person trying to start a fire in a field.
KSP said the suspect was then found at 245 and Frost Avenue at the Taco Bell.
According to police, during the incident, a Bardstown Police officer was involved in a shooting but no one was injured.
Bryan Smith, 47, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and now faces other charges including disorderly conduct, menacing, wanton endangerment, and resisting arrest.
He's been booked into the Nelson County Detention Center.
It's unknown at this time why shots were fired and who fired them. KSP will be leading the investigation.
